Hey friends!
Here is the thing,
There’s a quote that says….
When Man plans, God Laughs
Well, weather you believe in God or not, if you look at what its intending to mean then you’ll find it kind of true.
I mean how many times your day has gone according to your Plan_ perhaps that meeting lasted a little longer than you expected, or maybe you got stuck in traffic so reached home a little late than you usually do.
This happens more than you think and then we find ourselves running behind the schedule which means the original plan isn’t going to work so you abandon it leading to Fog of Uncertainty which basically leads to procrastination due to lack of plan.
I knew having a schedule or plan is important, but it usually depicts the best-case scenario, but I often found myself running behind the schedule. And it used to drive me nuts.
Later on ….
I started to replan the day several times throughout the day to fit the needs and Situations which meant, I always had a plan, so I wasn’t getting into fog of uncertainty.
Here’s how you can do it……
# Step 1
Replanning the day according to the need is the key here, for this I have an alarm scheduled every two hours. When the alarm rings, I go through the following questions in mind given in step two. It usually takes one or two minutes, but it saves me several hours a day.
Two hours interval works best for me but some people I have recommended it have 1 hour interval. Again, everyone is different what works for me doesn’t have to work for you and the only way to find what works for you is to do some hit & trials and find your sweet spot.
# Step 2
When alarm rings and you are lucky enough to not run behind the schedule just follow the original plan but if you are behind or maybe ahead of your plan then you might need to replan to achieve the original goal or might even want to relocate your goal in some or most of the situations.
Ask Yourself
Q1, Am I On track to achieve the goal?
if no,
Q2, Can I still achieve the original goal?
if yes. Skip to Question 4
If no,
Q3, What’s the new goal?
Then,
Q4, What’s the new plan?
See the goal isn’t to tick off all the to-dos but to always have a plan. To adjust your schedule according to needs and uncertainties. To priorities what matters the most at the moment and not fall in the trap of fog of uncertainties. After all that’s the key to build a life, you don’t need a vacation from.
Whenever you are planning to achieve a goal, if you want to increase the odds of achieving that the best way is to ask yourself “If I didn’t to achieve the goal, what could be some possible reason for that” Read this article to find out more context.
That’s all.
Have a great week!

Quote of the weak
Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I want to change myself.
~ Rumi
If you found this helpful, leave a like otherwise more people won’t discover it and would be going nuts sticking to schedule.
Thank you for this interesting piece Abd. For me, sometimes I'd have a plan and series of backup plans only to be in a situation that wasn't ever envisioned. I used to get frustrated and grumble but I have now accepted it as divine and try to navigate it, realising it may be on my best interest.
